Alarm Technician / Technical Support

We are a manufacturer located in Maryland Heights Missouri seeking a Fire Alarm and Security Technician for a Technical Support position. The position requires someone customer orientated with excellent communication skills (verbal and written). The primary responsibility is to provide efficient, effective, and cordial Technical Support for all of Potter's Sprinkler Monitoring, Fire Alarm, and Security products.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
· Respond to requests for Technical Support via telephone and email.
· Maintain accurate call logs.
· Develops a general understanding of products and troubleshooting processes.
· Provide technical expertise in the application, installation and troubleshooting of Potter’s Fire Alarm, Sprinkler and Security products.
· Assume responsibility for product support projects following processes and procedure to support initiatives.
· Utilize test equipment to verify or recreate problems discovered during field installation.
· Create and update product support bulletins, product data sheets, and Excel battery calculators
· Associates/Technical Degree in Electronics or equivalent experience
· 2-year experience in Technical Support or service of Fire Alarm or security products. (Installation and maintenance of hardware or software-controlled products)
· Computer literacy. Including Windows based systems & Microsoft Office Products.
· Understanding basic IT networking concepts.
· Ability to work both individually and collaborate in a team environment.
· Strong Customer Service and Interpersonal skills.
· Strong deductive reasoning skills.
· Proactive thinker/ self-starter
· Understanding of Ohms Law
· NICET Level 1 or Higher
· Previous experience with Potter Programming Software Suites
