Primary Responsibilities:
Review all contract documents including:
- Proposals and Contracts
- Engineering specifications/drawings
- Construction schedule
- Subcontractor scopes of work
Acquire thorough understanding of project requirements including:
- Contractual
- Technical
- Financial
- Schedule
- Construction coordination
- Materials
- Personnel
- Scope of work
Support the onsite installation efforts of the team
Provide weekly reports of job progress to all stakeholders
Participate in development of department standards and procedures
Deliver consistent feedback to team members
Facilitate training for team members where required
Ability to work overtime when required
Specific Responsibilities:
Schedule teams of installers and programmers for assigned projects
Accountable for overall success of the installation and performance of the project.
Point of Contact (internally and externally) for each project.
Coordinate activities with Electrician, Construction Manager, owner and other trades as required.
Effectively manage multiple projects concurrently.
Review plans and specifications to determine scope of work.
Generate rough order magnitude job cost analysis.
Review plans and specifications and participate in project cost reviews.
Conduct site visits and generate subsequent site visit reports. Also attend in progress design reviews, pre-construction meetings and in progress site visits as applicable.
Assist Operations Manager in the solicitation and contracting of subcontractors.
Directly coordinate with the field regarding project production/quality/safety/subcontractor performance
Conduct an orientation for project technicians and provide all necessary project documentation including scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, application engineered drawings, project contacts, etc.
Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects
Track, monitor and ensure products are ordered and ensure they are received per project
Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team
Identify time sensitive installation needs
Monitor the financial budget of each project including requesting deposits at correct intervals.
Ensuring labor hours used for projects are within the budget allocated
Attend meetings with contractors, architects, designers and issue meeting notes within 24 hours
Document every aspect of the project’s progress including:
- Creation of change orders
- Logistics coordination (products requested/delivered, etc.)
Responsible for monitoring milestones, design changes, and product requests.
Ensure installations are done to IRL Systems standards, including proper control of 3rd party systems
Ensuring project documentation (floorplans, Elevations, wire schedules etc.) is current/accurate
Issue weekly updates until all items have been satisfactorily completed post move in
Document project events that impact the schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency
Weekly tracking of resource and project progress and posting
Develop and assist in the scheduling of work to ensure timely completion
Join Senior Techs onsite when Pre-Tests are being completed as needed
Mobilize and demobilize sites as applicable
Skillfully communicate with clients/subcontractors
Coordinate and pursue project specific billing, coordinate with the Finance and Operations Managers (as needed)
Expedite the return of project specific mark-ups for As-Built development
Work with Engineer to complete all project specific close-out documentation
