Responsibilities and Duties:

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Install all wiring to connect system components, complying with all applicable safety standards, codes and customers concerns, preferences or requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Interact with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction
- Inspect and test systems to ensure all components are performing well and comply with safety requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Fire Alarm and/or special hazard systems
- Identify and repair malfunctions in system components or wiring
- Exhibit excellent customer service, discussing any questions or concerns, customer training and ensuring customers are fully satisfied with the service they receive
- 3-5 experience working as a Fire Alarm and security install and repair technician preferred
- Current NICET fire protection certification and/or State of Michigan licensing
- Familiar with NFPA codes and standards
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and lift equipment
- Working knowledge of electrical testing equipment
