Responsible for accounting transactional activities and analytical support in any of the following accounting functions: accounts payable, general accounting, payroll time entry, credit card log and expense reimbursements, revenue accounting and customer payments or fixed assets accounting. Communicate with internal and external customers on accounting issues and questions. Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day to day work routine for self and others.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
FINANCIAL SPECIALIST: ($21.03 - $26.29 per hour)
- Must possess a working knowledge of accounting fundamentals and principles at a level normally acquired through the completion of a two-year associate degree in accounting or business administration.
- Two or more years of progressive accounting responsibility.
FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN: ($19.13 - $21.74 per hour)
- Must possess a working knowledge of accounting fundamentals and principles at a level normally acquired through the completion of a two-year associate degree in accounting or business administration.
- One year of related experience in the accounting field
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage, or unauthorized access.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
- Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
- May be required to maintain a valid driver's license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN:
- Two-year associate degree in accounting or business administration.
- Two years related experience in accounting field or office environment.
FIANCIAL SPECIALIST:
- Two-year associate degree in accounting or business administration.
- Proficient in the Excel software application.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and process accounting transactions including data entry and journal entries in accordance with policies and procedures and exercise sound discretionary judgment.
- Provide accounting assistance to internal and external customers related to the general accounting functions.
- Problem solve and provide assistance to employees on accounting applications such as electronic data imaging systems and web applications.
- Assist in the gathering of data. Prepare audit work papers and other schedules and reports as requested.
- Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
