Department Summary
The mission of the UCLA Anderson Business Office is to provide high quality service to our customers through the efficient processing of financial transactions and the timely, accurate, and meaningful reporting of financial information. These services are provided in accordance with University policies and procedures to ensure sound fiscal responsibility and regulatory compliance.
Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Finance Director, provide overall fund management for an assigned fund portfolio. Provide advice, consultation and oversight to assigned units regarding purchasing, accounts payable, and travel and entertainment expenses. Process/transact purchasing and travel transactions in the University systems. Provide advice on guidelines and fund restrictions. Monitor fund balances and prepare transfer of funds, monetary transfer of funds and expense adjustments (NPEAR) as necessary.

Qualifications
Budgetary Analysis Demonstrated skill in budgetary analysis and control which includes reconciling ledgers, monitoring expenditures based on existing revenue and cost data. (Required)
Customer Service Strong customer service orientation, demonstrated ability to establish and maintain good relations with faculty and staff, maintaining an air of approachability and commitment to service. (Required)
Communication Experience explaining technical concepts to a variety of clients with varying levels of understanding of University accounting. (Required)
Working knowledge of fund accounting and fund management principals (Preferred)
Working knowledge of UCLA financial and budgetary policies, processes (Preferred)
Working knowledge of university online financial systems (Preferred)
Ability to research complex administrative issues as they relate to purchasing and reimbursement (Required)
Working knowledge of university purchasing and reimbursement systems (Preferred)
Establish and maintain good working relations with Anderson faculty, administrators and staff (Required)
Ability to perform multiple, diverse assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines with minimal supervision (Required)
Knowledge of University policies and procedures relating to purchasing, travel, and entertainment (Preferred)
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint (Required)
Ability to analyze situations, define problems and objectives, and proactively implement solutions (Required)
Direct experience handling institutional purchasing and reimbursements (Required)
Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations
Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree with emphasis in accounting, finance, or economics, or University finance and transactional experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required)
