Job Description
The primary duties will center around external and internal Financial Reporting and preparing and/or reviewing accounting positions on technical or complex transactions such as business combinations. The position will report to the financial accounting senior director. The candidate should have a strong interest in researching and documenting technical GAAP accounting positions and have an aptitude for grasping ASC concepts. The position will require communicating new accounting standards to the GL accounting team.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assist with financial statement preparation and/or review, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, shareholders’ equity and disclosures, accurately and on a timely basis
- Assist with researching and implementing technical accounting interpretations and pronouncements. Assist in ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Prepare, review, and maintain schedules to support the financial statements
- Assist with preparing and/or reviewing the annual US GAAP financial statements, including updating the financial statements and footnote disclosures.
- Support the Company’s external auditors performing the annual audit; ensure deadlines are met during the core audit both at interim and year-end
- Assist in ensuring accounting policies are current and adequately documented. This will include assessing the adequacy of processes that support appropriate accounting and testing processes from time-to-time and sharing results of this testing to CFO, Global Controller and audit committee.
- Prepare or assist in reviewing additional monthly and quarterly reporting, including debt covenant compliance and key business metrics
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in accounting, and
- Minimum 7 years of relevant financial accounting experience (SEC reporting experience strongly preferred), OR
- 6+ years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 experience strongly preferred)
- Preparation and/or review of technical accounting memos
- Preparation and/or review of financial statement disclosures
- Equivalent combination of experience in public accounting and financing accounting
- Strong technical accounting skills with demonstrated strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including software capitalization, revenue recognition (ASC 606), share-based compensation, debt, consolidation accounting, accounting for international operations, foreign exchange issues and purchase accounting
- Experience preparing technical accounting memos
- Experience preparing financial statement footnotes

Salary Range: $145,000-$160,000
- This range is based on national market data and may vary by experience and location.
