Footwear Planner – E-commerce Division
Job Brief
We are seeking a Footwear Planner for Galaxy’s E-commerce business. This individual will work with the Merchandising Manager on developing seasonal buys, actively monitor and analyze sales, sell-through and inventory in-season, update the E-commerce forecasts, and manage the E-commerce P&L. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in planning, E-commerce and footwear, while being willing to learn from experts in the field within the organization in order to further develop their expertise. Our ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven. This role also requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They should be organized, efficient, self-motivated, and be capable of managing a variety of projects at once.
Responsibilities
· Partner with Merchandising Manager on developing seasonal and in-season buys that support product strategies while achieving budgeted sales and margin goals.
· Translate merchandising strategy into cohesive buys, layering on seasonality, promotional cadence, seasonality, and size runs, down to the UPC level.
· Transform buys into purchase orders, and monitor inbound inventory and delivery dates.
· Analyze in-season actuals, tracking demand and sell-throughs against projections, identifying wins and risks, preparing high-level recaps, and executing markdowns/promotions to support sell-through strategies.
· Analyze margin by SKU and the various factors affecting them, such as return rates, marketing spend, fulfillment fees and the like.
· Manage demand forecasting, replenishment programs, and inventory across multiple channels, both pre-season and in-season.
· Prepare and maintain annual and quarterly budgets, and reforecast in-season.
· Be willing to put in extra hours when needed, to meet key deadlines.
Requirements
· 8+ years planning experience, with the ability to demonstrate comparable knowledge and skills.
· 10 years of experience in the retail and/or E-commerce industry, with at least 5 years of footwear-specific experience.
· Comprehensive knowledge of planning, retail math, e-commerce, data analysis and forecasting techniques.
· Proficiency in the Microsoft Office programs, especially Microsoft Excel.
· Exceptional attention to detail with a capacity to multitask, problem solve and address various aspects of the business simultaneously and efficiently.
· Strong communication and organizational skills to ensure proper management of all pending projects
· Thrive in a self-motivating atmosphere, while promoting team collaboration
· Exceptional time management and willingness to put in extra hours to hit key deadlines

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
