Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Financial Operations Specialist will maintain and support activities pertaining to receivables and payables for Wonder Meats Inc, New B&M Meats Inc, and Brooklyn Provisions Inc. They will enter all daily receivables, perform cash application, reconcile customer accounts, and scan/input AP invoices, all while providing administrative support for the Controller & Executive team. This entry level position is a great opportunity for someone with light experience in banking, finance, AR or AP.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enter daily receivables into Microsoft NAV; Perform proper cash application & reconciliation of customer accounts.
- Investigate & track all payment discrepancies; Contact customers immediately in order to seek timely resolution; Submit any corrections to Controller / AR Manager for review & approval.
- Support customers with any statement related or invoice issues and work with them to resolve any past due invoices; Monitor the AR shared inbox for all inquiries.
- Aid in end of day collections reports and provide support to Controller / AR Manager
- Perform morning and afternoon runs to post office & any end of day cash deposits at bank.
- Print & mail weekly customer statements.
- Review & scan daily purchase invoices.
- Scan all daily deposited checks; Answer incoming customer phone calls.
- Scan & organize daily received invoices entered by AP for processing; Assist AP in posting of payables in NAV.
Required Skills/Abilities: Education and Experience: * Proficient in Microsoft Office products Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail & Banking experience and previous AR knowledge
- Effective communication skills: Ability to consistently meet deadlines.

Projects:
- Work with Controller to further integrate and standardize financial processes into NAV for new and existing entities; Develop any better ways of working to improve efficiencies.
