Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role will require you to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget, and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. The manager will lead all day-to-day finance operations of a growing company.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities:
Accounting:

  • Ensure that all accounting allocations are appropriately made and documented. · Perform cash management functions and oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, payroll and bank reconciliation functions.
  • Implementation of GAAP standards.

Internal Controls

  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies.
  • Establish and execute internal controls over the company’s accounting and financial procedures.
  • Coordinate with external tax accountants for income tax preparation and auditors who prepare internal audits of the company.
  • Ensure quality control over company records, financial transactions, and financial reporting.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Financial Planning and Reporting:

  • Manage all banking and finance activities including negotiating lines of credit and vendor agreements, as well as reviewing all financial contracts, financing agreements and insurance policies.
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive financial information to executive management for long-term financial strategizing.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of financial reports including financial statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, budgets, budget-to-actuals, and financial projections.
  • Openly communicate crucial financial data in a transparent environment
  • Collaborate with management team to coordinate all financial planning functions with business operations.

Financial Analysis:

  • Help to assess risk, analyze efficiency and inform policy decisions made by executive management.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Accounting; CPA designation
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Proven working experience including GAAP account.
  • Experience with in-depth financial analysis and providing expert financial perspective and opinions.
  • US and Canadian finance experience desired.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year

  • Manufacturing Industry: 7 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • CPA (Required)
