Job Description:
The Financial Coordinator is responsible for working together with the research team, Principal Investigators, study teams finance and ancillary services to ensure smooth and efficient study initiation/maintenance processes. Responsible for review of clinical trial budgets and Medicare Coverage Analysis, preparation of invoices, reconciliation of accounts receivable and payment of 3rd party research changes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Create and approve monthly clinical trial invoices for active studies.
  • Work with Study Coordinators to ensure conditional activities are billed for consistently and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain active study reconciliations to ensure all patient visits are priced correctly.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve budgeting/billing processes.
  • Generate reports to project study financials and track outstanding AR.
  • Work with TNO Finance to ensure monies are allocated correctly to research.
  • Resolve sponsor queries and follow-up on delinquent payments as needed.
  • Support account/study close-out activities; account reconciliation and final invoices.
  • Process simple budget/contract amendments as needed.
  • Review protocol amendments for billing/compliance impact.
  • Review third party bills to confirm billing designations and issue payments as needed.
  • Perform job duties in Signal Path CTMS as needed.
  • Facilitates signature process of legal documents (CTAs, CDAs, Other).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, life sciences, healthcare administration, finance or accounting preferred.
  • 2 years research experience; clinical oncology research highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminology.
  • Experience working in a Clinical Trial Management System (Signal Path, Oncor, Velos etc.)
  • Experience working with clinical trial budgets, contracts and/or Medicare Coverage Analysis.
  • Advanced expertise with Microsoft Excel
