- Financial Planning and Budgeting: Develop and manage budgets for the distribution center, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct regular financial analysis to assess the performance of distribution operations, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions.
- Cost Control: Monitor distribution-related costs, analyze cost drivers, and implement cost-saving strategies to optimize the distribution process.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with the distribution team to manage inventory levels effectively, minimizing carrying costs while ensuring product availability.
- Profitability Analysis: Analyze distribution contracts and agreements to evaluate profitability and negotiate favorable terms when necessary.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements for distribution operations.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting principles, and internal policies in all distribution-related activities.
- Forecasting: Develop financial forecasts and models to predict future distribution trends and assist in strategic decision-making.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the distribution team, providing financial insights and recommendations to support their operations.
- Auditing: Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits related to distribution finances.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in distribution or logistics
- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
- Experience in SAP and/or INFOR WMS
