What's the role?

The Financial Analyst is responsible for analytical requirements, building standardized report bundles, fulfilling ad-hoc reporting requests and ensuring that reports are globally consistent. The Financial Analyst is responsible for producing current, forecasted, and historical financial data for specialties, programs, and service lines (recurring and adhoc). Data is expected to be presented in a clear format and used to effectively communicate operational and financial transactions of the organization. This role will require collaboration with other internal departments and management to support timely decision-making and ongoing analysis of the business. The individual will need to be capable of providing recommendations for building and interpreting reports. Proficiency in Excel is required with preferred experience with Power BI.

What you'll do:

  • Recurring reporting including, but not limited to, revenue analysis, labor productivity, profitability reports, and third party surveys.
  • Collaborates with operational leadership Information Technology to assess systems utilization and make recommendations for improvement and/or following best practices.
  • Non-recurring reporting requiring summarization of data, recommendations, and conclusions.
  • Works with team members in the Finance department and leadership to identify new profitable services through feasibility analysis.
  • Possess an overall understanding of the business' operational and financial processes and goals.
  • Produces pro-formas to guide management in decision-making efforts.
  • Participates with consultants on organizational initiatives.
  • Presents financial information and/or provides financial support during senior leadership presentations.
  • Maintain knowledge of the organization's business intelligence systems and work with vendor support to resolve reporting issues and stay educated with system changes and updates.
  • Assists with internal and external benchmarking/benchmark analysis.
  • Provide coverage to accounting staff on various duties as needed.
  • All other assigned duties

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/business-related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of employment experience in an accounting/business environment, preferably healthcare.
  • Strong analytical skills, which include knowledge of statistics with the ability to interpret financial data with respect to the interrelatedness of the statistical data.
  • Must possess strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Must obtain Lean Six Sigma Green Belt within 1 year of hire
  • Specific Skills:
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical, excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Physical Requirements - 90% sitting 10% standing
