- Serve as financial business partner to operational management on all matters of Capital Projects
- Applies principles of finance and accounting to the analysis of capital projects including:
- Managing the inflow of Capital Approval Request (CAR) forms, ensuring projects are within the current Capital Budget, obtaining all levels of approval, follows the current Capital Policy and sending completed forms back to the requestor with assigned CAR #
- Monthly Reporting and Tracking of the following:
- Work with Accounting to ensure understanding and departmental linkage for actuals and forecasting in FP&A models for Depreciation
- Create Depreciation Forecast for in process & future project spend for Full Year, Budget and Multi-Year analysis
- Provide “Post mortem” analysis to assist the organization in evaluating the financial returns and operational effectiveness of capital projects
- Be the consummate subject matter expert on all things Capital to the Sr. Finance Staff, CFO & CEO
- Advise in development and implementation of Capital Management System and tools to improve controls and analysis surrounding the Capital Expenditure management process
- Participate in the annual budgeting process as well as forecasting updates throughout the year
- Support Ad Hoc Analysis on a variety of Financial & Accounting topics to support peak activity demands on the finance organization
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related discipline
- 5-7 years of finance/accounting experience in manufacturing plant environment with some mechanical background preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office including advanced skills in Excel working with large sets of data
- Prior experience working with ERP systems required, experience with Oracle, GLWAND and Hyperion Financial Management a strong plus
- Prior experience with Sage Fixed Assets or any other Asset Tracking/ Depreciation system a plus
- Prior experience within a product-oriented manufacturing company a plus
- A highly productive self-starter with very strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
- Strong accountability and detail oriented; prepares accurate and timely work product. Puts in required extra effort in order to meet and exceed position objectives.
- Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Able to lift up to 25 Pounds.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
