C.H. Robinson is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our North American Surface Transportation (NAST) Financial Planning & Analysis team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead reporting, analysis, and decision support for our warehouse operations. **This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days in our Eden Prairie, MN office**
Responsibilities:
- Support annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide guidance and data-driven recommendations on financial planning and strategic decisions
- Analyze business results and review financial information's impact on specific stakeholders
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial management reports
- Utilize month-end financial information to prepare monthly variance analysis and provide actionable insights
- Support cash flow analysis and financial modeling for key projects, ensuring a thorough understanding of return-on-investment (ROI) and financial projections
- Perform analysis to highlight key, actionable areas for improvement
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives in key financial planning and analysis activities
- Assist in the development and implementation of tools, systems, and processes to support successful forecasts and routine analytical reviews of company financial and operational performance
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related major
- Minimum 1 years of relevant professional experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or other Finance-related roles
- Ability to read and interpret financial statements including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows
Preferred Qualifications:
- Data analytics, financial analysis, and accounting skills
- Proficient in Excel
- SQL experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter, innovator, and positive team player with the ability to work with little or no supervision
