Financial Analyst

C.H. Robinson is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our North American Surface Transportation (NAST) Financial Planning & Analysis team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead reporting, analysis, and decision support for our warehouse operations. Taking charge of a substantial yearly forecasting process, upwards of $300M, you'll conduct variance to actual analysis, offer insightful commentary, and collaborate closely with warehouse business leaders. **This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days in our Eden Prairie, MN office**
Responsibilities:

• Support annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to provide guidance and data-driven recommendations on financial planning and strategic decisions
• Analyze business results and review financial information's impact on specific stakeholders
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial management reports
• Utilize month-end financial information to prepare monthly variance analysis and provide actionable insights
• Support cash flow analysis and financial modeling for key projects, ensuring a thorough understanding of return-on-investment (ROI) and financial projections
• Perform analysis to highlight key, actionable areas for improvement
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives in key financial planning and analysis activities
• Assist in the development and implementation of tools, systems, and processes to support successful forecasts and routine analytical reviews of company financial and operational performance
• Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related major
• Minimum 1 years of relevant professional experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or other Finance-related roles
• Ability to read and interpret financial statements including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows

• Data analytics, financial analysis, and accounting skills
• Proficient in Excel
• SQL experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organization, attention-to-detail, and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter, innovator, and positive team player with the ability to work with little or no supervision

• Deadline and time management oriented and able to manage multiple competing priorities
