The Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD) is seeking a Finance Services Assistant to join our dynamic team. This position will provide technical and administrative support to the Finance Division.
The ideal candidate for this position will have prior experience in accounting, payroll, finance, or a closely related field. They should thrive in a fast-paced work environment and possess a keen attention to detail, enabling them to efficiently handle administrative tasks in a time-sensitive manner. Additionally, they should possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Key components of the job include (but are not limited to):
Provide administrative and technical support to the division and complete special projects
Maintain financial records and/or transactions.
Review cash receipts, resolve discrepancies, audit purchasing documentation.
Respond to inquiries and provide excellent customer service to staff and vendors.
Promote and model diversity, equity, inclusion, and access, cultivating a workplace environment that recognizes and appreciates individuals from a wide range of backgrounds.
Provide support in the preparation and audit of complex financial records by use of the district's financial systems and spreadsheets, including but not limited to monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, trial balance, and budget documents.
Provide administrative support in the preparation of the district's annual financial report and budget book.
Provide support for audit requests for information.
Provide administrative support to the division director.

Finance Services Assistant II:
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, plus additional specialized training equivalent to a two (2) year degree or university education with coursework or training in related field and over two (2) years of office experience with at least one year in finance, accounting, budget or a related field.
