- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving
In this role, you’ll be at the center of driving AWS’s sales strategy, partnering directly with the Worldwide Specialist Migration and Modernization organization to manage, optimize, transform a $1B+ investment portfolio. You’ll collaborate with senior Sales, Business Development, Engineering, and Finance leaders to build financial plans, analyze large-scale investment opportunities, develop new go-to-market strategies, and identify opportunities for business growth. You will play key roles in both running the day-to-day business and helping drive strategic growth for the future.

Key job responsibilities
- Serve as a key finance partner to the Migration and Modernization team, collaborating across executive leadership to analyze inputs and outputs, assess business performance, and optimize asset allocation.
- Develop and evolve complex financial models that analyze program- and portfolio-level revenue, profit, and ROI impacts.
- Build rhythm of the business processes that deliver ongoing insights and support day-to-day decision making.
- Engage and influence across the AWS Sales, Finance, and Operations hierarchy, collaborating with stakeholders to optimize our customer’s experience, achieve common goals, and monitor risks.
- Monitor compliance with controls and systems, and develop new processes and controls as needed to support internal and external financial reporting requirements.

- 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market.
