Location: Elevance Health supports a hybrid workplace model with pulse point sites used for collaboration, community, and connection. Proximity/ within 50 miles to an Elevance Health major office (pulse point) is required.
The Financial Consultant Manager will be responsible for complex budget and forecast modeling, including related financial analysis.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Leads projects and focuses on business process improvement initiatives and in some departments will help to create innovative financial system solutions to minimize manual or repetitive functions.
- Consults with and provides management with solutions and recommended actions.
- Provides guidance and training to less experienced team members.
- Conducts and documents complex financial and business-related analyses and research fields, including financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital and investment.
- Provides detailed analysis and reporting for leadership, working closely with company internal and external auditors.
- Works with business partners to identify and implement strategic projects that support company goals.
- Leads M&A and other system integration projects.
- Ensures adherence to capitalization and depreciation policies for supported functions across the enterprise.
- Responsible for enterprise or business unit processes related to business case development, ROI analysis, cost and benefit realization and other support of the company’s investments.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 6 years budgeting, forecasting, and accounting financial reporting experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
- MBA, CPA and/or CMA preferred.
- Cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience preferred.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communications skills preferred.
- Excellent analytical ability and strong PC skills strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel, data mining large data sets, and PowerPoint experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial modeling techniques, data aggregation and manipulation, and advanced technical skills.
