The Opportunity
This position works out of our Temecula, CA location in the Abbott Vascular Division
This role is a hands-on technical accounting position ranging from closing the books, preparing financial statements, audits, and providing GAAP guidance and ERP systems expertise. This is a role that will support the Company in meeting its financial and strategic goals, but must also be comfortable operating in the day-to-day details. Additional responsibilities include recruiting, training, developing, and managing a large team.
What You’ll Work On
- Direct and monitor accounting activities to ensure the organization’s financial resources are managed in accordance w/GAAP & comply with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards
- Interprets operating results as they affect the financial aspects of the corporation and makes specific recommendations, which will result in cost reductions and profit improvements.
- Provides leadership in the forecasting and planning of the Company’s financial and operating results.
- Provide technical expertise and advice to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop budgets,
- Understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.
- Select and manage ongoing relationships with external advisors (e.g. accounting firms) to ensure the organization receives satisfactory service standards.
- General ledger maintenance, financial analysis, reporting, and asset management
- Review & ensure financial reporting and accounting statement accuracy
- Hires and retains a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides ongoing performance feedback.
- Sets goals which align to department plans and manages the execution of goals through coaching and mentoring. Maintains a safe and professional work environment.
- Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of accounting professionals to ensure accounting activities are completed accurately and on time.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- Minimum 13 years of both overall and any industry-specific experience
- or a combination of education plus experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters Degree (± 18 years) MBA, CPA, CMA

The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 – $190,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
