Job DescriptionJob Summary:
The finance intern will support the finance department in functions such as record retention, scanning and filing documents, and accounting processes during the Spring 2024 semester. The finance intern will be required to work independently on administrative and finance support projects. This position provides the candidate with exposure to various finance functions including month-end processes, accruals, and other projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains scanning and filing of financial documents for record retention project.
- Gain exposure to accounting and financial processes throughout documentation work
- Works with accounts receivables and payables
- Assist with customer account maintenance and month-end processes
- Works with accruals and other journals
- Other duties may be assigned
Education and Experience:
- Must be successfully enrolled in a cooperative education program pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or other relevant field
- Seniors approaching graduation preferred
Qualifications and Skills:
- 1-3 years of relevant in finance, administrative function, or relevant experience preferred
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite such as Word and Excel.
