Finance Director/Manager

We are looking for Finance Director (or Manager) will support the ongoing growth of the company. Responsibilities will include preparing and analyzing financial information and models, day-to-day management of operational finance related to A&R, marketing, and overhead, and maintaining accurate accounting records & timely month-end close.

Essential Duties:

• Work with the Marketing & A&R teams to review and monitor budgets.
• Work closely with the CFO to identify areas of cost savings and optimization.
• Liaison with outside firms to prepare the company’s tax returns & royalty statements.
• Manage annual audit and work with external auditors to provide all records, schedules, reports, and information needed for the annual financial audit.
• Own the development, improvement, and document all internal finance policies and procedures.
• Review A/P transactions for accuracy.
• Build & maintain a revenue database for the company's music activities.
• Assist in the development of the annual operating plan and quarterly forecasts.
• Create project-specific P&Ls for profitability analysis.
• Own the month-end close process and help the company migrate to QuickBooks online.
• Improve the company’s financial performance by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management.

Required Qualifications (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education):

• Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year) in Finance or related field
• 5+ years in an analytical role in a fast-paced work environment. Experience in a startup or entertainment industry a plus
• 2+ years of experience in a managerial role at the Director/Manager level
• Effective communication abilities
• Prior accounting system migration experience is a plus
• Prior royalty accounting experience
• Must be proficient with computers and MS Office (advanced Excel skills)
• Ability to work under pressure to meet urgent deadlines
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
