Job description

Finance Transformation is responsible for the delivery and execution of regulatory commitments in Citi's consent order action plans. Within Finance Transformation is a global Program Management team that aligns with the various Initiatives and Programs to ensure there is proper governance and oversight to provide transparency into our Transformation progress.
The Finance Adoption Execution team is responsible for driving progress on Consent Order work that is owned by Finance within the non-Finance program group plans. As such, the team is on point to provide guidance in line with Transformation Program Oversight governance standards, partner with Milestone / Deliverable Owners, Execution Leads and their respective teams to drive plan to successful, timely execution, and collaborate on essential Program Management activities to ensure timely and successful delivery of objectives.
This role will be responsible for the MCA program, under the Risk & Controls program group, commitments that need to be delivered by Finance as a first line function. Depending on demand and capacity, the role may also support other deliverables across Risk & Controls.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong command of program status and understanding of actions required to drive plan to successful completion across multiple interconnected books of work through partnership with the Execution Lead to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
  • Partner with and Execution Leads/ Commitment owners to drive work efforts, coordinate working group meetings, identify, raise and resolve risks and issues and coordinate timely closure and successful IA validation.
  • Ensure timely identification and, where appropriate, remediation of risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations
  • Monitor, track and report progress and status of the in-scope milestones, deliverables and activities.
  • Provide an aggregated view of execution status, risks and issues across and associated projects to relevant governing bodies.
  • Ensure appropriate status is maintained in official system of record (PTS / JIRA)
  • Drive adherence to applicable guidance and standards (Citi CPMC, Chief Administration Office / Transformation Program Office guidance, etc.)
  • Support Accountable Executives and Responsible Owners in preparation of artifacts that demonstrate completion of program objectives to fulfill governance and oversight teams' requirements for initiation, planning, execution, and closure, driving quality.
  • Facilitate key stakeholder engagement in cross-functional collaboration to manage day to day progress and dependencies.
  • Coordinate approvals and escalations in accordance with Transformation and CMPC guidance and direction from Finance Transformation leadership.
  • Ensure appropriate capture of meeting minutes and necessary follow-ups, where required.
  • Ensure all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities, and communication of execution timeline and key milestones. This includes the ability to effectively work with internal audit validation to confirm a common understanding of the artifacts and deliverables needed to support closure related activities.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in Program/Project Management, preferable regulatory or transformation-oriented) with proven success in project management and execution.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in driving positive and sustained change
  • Demonstrates consistent track record of having worked as a Program or Project Manager, or working on large regulatory or strategic cross-functional projects in the financial services industry
  • Previous program/project management or consulting experience preferred with the ability to manage large remediation efforts with multiple projects
    • Controls, policy or issue management and governance experience preferred along with a strong business understanding of the products and services Citi offers
    • Track record of managing internal relationships effectively and demonstrated experience in leading sustained change management efforts
    • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically and to creatively problem solve
    • Ability to plan and organize, working well both in a team setting and independently
    • General understanding of relevant banking regulation and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutions
    • Well-developed listening skills and a strong ability to engage with colleagues at all levels
    • Articulate and effective communicator, both orally and in writing, including providing written progress updates for very senior leadership
    • Strong interpersonal skills, with evidence of working in collaboration across large organizations, including a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues/requests/escalations
    • Proficiency in working inSharePoint, JIRA and PTS-W/PTS 2.0 is desired but not required

Education:

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of related experience in Program/Project Management with proven success in project management and execution.
  • Experience in supporting transformation projects and organizational change initiatives.
  • Experience in supporting the development and implementation of new business processes.
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills; being able to analyze data, draw conclusions, identify trends and issues, and diagnose root cause of issues.
  • Ability to support a cross-functional project team with varied disciplines.
  • Track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong communications (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence senior executives.
  • Controls, policy or issue management and governance experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically and to creatively problem solve.
  • Ability to plan and organize, working well both in a team setting and independently.
