What We Need:
- We need a Filler Technician responsible for operating Elmar/Oden Fillers, maintaining safe working conditions and assisting with overall production line operations.
What You Will Do:
- You will work with a diversified team, led by our Plant Production Manager
- You will be responsible for maintaining workstations
- You will understand all Filler functionality
- You will perform Quality Checks in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- You will manage planned downtime events, such as hot washes, allergen washes and water purges in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- You will be responsible for supporting upstream and downstream operators by assisting with bottle supply, clearing jams, loading raw materials, and making mechanical adjustments
What You Need:
- Minimum of a High School Education
- 1+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment
- Experience with machine or tooling changeovers
- Comprehension of Preventative Maintenance
- Experience in performing basic lubrication, greasing and parts inspection
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including, professionalism, problem solving, attention to detail
- Self-motivated with a strong dedication for success, taking pride in workmanship
- Working effectively in a team environment, positive attitude
- Participation in employee training as it relates to GMP’s, Health and Safety, periodic technical training as it relates to internal development, active participation of Line Improvement and Optimization activities ensuring high performance of Production
- Computer proficiency, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.
- Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, GMP and other quality programs
- Ability to work in varying climates
- Willing to work flexible hours and frequent overtime including weekends
- Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, equipment instructions, requirements, and business correspondences.
- Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 pounds in a repetitive nature; must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in an environment exposed to milk, egg, mustard, peanuts, fish, sulfites, sesame, soy, tree nuts, and wheat allergens
