Job Summary The primary purpose of this job is to fill cells and to perform a variety of assembly and inspection operations following written procedures to meet safety, quality and production requirements.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Adheres to GB Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, Company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
2. Must successfully complete and demonstrate proficiency developed through on the job training to be able to run a minimum of one fill stand. Demonstrates the ability to perform "critical to safety "and "critical to quality" workmanship.
3. Sets up equipment needed for the assembly, fill, closing and inspection of cells as per manufacturing process (MPI) and quality work instructions (QWI). Utilizes both manual and automatic machines.
4. Visually and/or dimensionally inspects parts and/or completed assemblies for conformance to specifications, identifies and escalates quality non-conformances.
5. Monitors safety and quality issues.
6. Continue to develop expertise on a variety of filling stations.
7. Works in a team environment at the fill stand and closing operations. Provides guidance to the other team members.
8. Completes required device history records and other manufacturing documentation per good documented practices.
9. Participates in team activity focusing on process/product improvement, problem resolution, and customer satisfaction.
10. Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. 11. Performs other functions as required
Job Requirements
Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum Experience: 3-5 years of related experience. Specialized Knowledge: Ability to read, comprehend and follow detailed instruction. Must possess the ability to recognize obvious defects in workmanship.
Special Skills: Ability to utilized windows based applications. Familiarity with inspection under magnification and measuring devices preferred; Previous light assembly / chemical processing experience preferred. 8hr HazWoper certification preferred.
Other: Experienced and qualified to work with a Self-Contained breathing Apparatus (SCBA) or Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) - Pass a "Fit Test" OSHA Standard 29CFR1910.134
