Job Title: Imaging receptionist

Department: Main campus Imaging

Reports To: Lori Cornell


Job Summary: Employee will greet Imaging patients, and escort them to proper modality. Employee should be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to multitask in a high volume phone call environment. Providing excellent customer service and the ability to communicate well with patient visitor and staff is required. Employee will be responsible for burning DVD's, transferring Images, printing Imaging reports, faxing, copying, answering phones, transferring call and taking messages all while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • - Maintains a safe clean environment according to Joint Commission standards
  • -Stocks and clean waiting rooms and changing rooms as assigned ensuring all are completed prior to leaving for the day.
  • -Monitors the water cooler and coffee supplies to ensure both are adequate for our visitors
  • -Demonstrates team work to provide the best possible customer service care for our patients and visitors.
  • -Demonstrates proper hand hygiene according to CHS policy
  • -Demonstrates professional communication at all times.
  • - Follows HIPAA regulations and adheres to CHS policy for patient identification
  • - Demonstrates appropriate computer skills, understanding of PACS, Meditech , Emails, Shiftwizard, Iconnect, Ishare, Power share and CD burning
  • - Completes annual competency demonstrating knowledge of all Imaging processes for transferring or obtaining images
  • - Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to assist radiologist and other staff as needed
  • - Performs tasks as assigned
  • -Attends and participates in staff meetings
  • - Assists with training of new employees
  • - Is an approachable research for others
  • -Demonstrates proper phone etiquette
  • promptly answers the phones using the correct greeting
  • Properly transfers calls using an introduction prior to transfer
  • Properly takes a message collecting all required information
  • -Demonstrates the ability to multitask as workload demands
  • -Maintains CPR certification
  • - Maintains flexibility in work schedule as workload demands
  • - Is flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities not noted above

Requirements:

Education - High school diploma or GED

Experience - Preference computer skills

Licensure - n/a

Physical Requirements - Must be able to push, pull, bend, and ambulate without assistance.
