Job Title: Office Clerk/File Room Clerk
Location:Gary, IN 46402 (100% Onsite from Day 1)
Duration: 3 Months Contract (with a possible extension)
Job Description:
Files and deals with correspondence and performs other general office duties.
The position will help organize current records based on their type and retention schedules.
The candidate will be making copies, completing basic forms, removing paper/binder clips, and documenting the files before packaging and shipping to the Records Center.
The candidate performs standardized and non-standardized tasks and requires incumbent to effectively manage agency resources while keeping consistent with agency policies and laws affecting the agency.
Ability to work independently
Ability to attend to detail and maintain accuracy and confidentiality
Ability to lift between 50 lbs. to 75 lbs.
