We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a File Clerk at a law office in Downtown Chattanooga. As a File Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and organizing the company's files and documents. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a structured environment and has strong organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic files
- Sort and categorize documents for easy retrieval
- Ensure all files are labeled correctly and stored in designated locations
- Perform regular audits to ensure file accuracy and completeness
- Assist with file retrieval requests from various departments
- Scan, photocopy, and fax documents as needed
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Provide general administrative support as required
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent proofreading skills to ensure error-free documentation
- Familiarity with phone systems and proper phone etiquette
- Knowledge of QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus
- Ability to work with computerized filing systems
- Experience in data entry is preferred
- Previous experience in a dental office or healthcare setting is a bonus
- Strong project coordination skills
