The Position:
Mitigation Technicians are among the first people to provide support to victims of fires, floods, and other disasters by helping them restore their homes and property so they can start getting their lives back to normal. Mitigation Technicians help assess what property and belongings can be saved and begin the process of water and debris cleanup.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Provide restoration services for structures around the twin cities damaged by fire, mold, water, sewage, trauma/ crime scenes, and weather
• Perform water extraction, carpet/floor drying and cleaning, mold and mildew remediation, deodorization/decontamination, and demolition and debris removal
• Pack belongings and move to a secure off-site location
• Clean and store savable belongings and property
• Demolish or remove damaged plumbing, framing, drywall, and related materials
• Help with service requests as needed

Requirements/Skills

• Valid Drivers license required - potential company vehicle within a couple months
• Prior residential demolition experience preferred but not required
• Start at ground level, working out at job site, move to managerial or field supervisor role relatively quickly
• Expertise with hand tools preferred
• Robust communication and listening skills
• Physical fitness and stamina for cleanup work
• Comfort with fieldwork (Including working with materials affected by sewage, mold, or other bodily fluids)
• Can train on site

Wage: $20 to $23 an hour starting with room for overtime pay and rapid growth
