***Must Have Solar Experience***
Empower Solar is a full service, residential solar installer looking experienced and driven individuals to join our ever-expanding team. We are currently looking for a full-time Inspection Technician, responsible for meeting City inspectors on-site after the solar installation to receive final approval for the completed work.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform inspections in the safest manner and per OSHA guidelines
- Coordinate scheduling with clients and AHJs for inspections dates and timeframes for day of inspections.
- Complete all uploads and submittals of finalized permits to appropriate platforms.
- Coordinates inspection timeframes with AHJs and customers daily.
- Answers customers questions regarding inspections and directs them to correct personal for all other questions.
- Coordinates with internal staff of completions as they are completed
- Updates internal CRM with passed job card, notes, and milestone date
- Completes final QA check, system is operational and assures job site safety and quality prior leaving the project as last man on site.
- Prior to inspection while on site, be sure that all work is completed and ready for inspection, should there be minor fixes left on site to pass inspection, it is your responsibility to complete and prep for inspection with AHJ inspectors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, climb, crawl, push, pull, reach, sit, stand, climb ladders, and work with various tools and equipment. Must be able to operate a pallet jack and forklift. Have to ability to listen, understand, and communicate in writing and verbally. The employee will frequently be required to lift objects up to 75 pounds.
. Requirements:
- Clean driving and background record
- Valid CA Driver's License
- The ability to travel within California
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal and driving background check
- Must be able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs. or more) in addition to climbing ladders and working in high places.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for high volumes of internal and external communication/coordination.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task at high volume of work and with independency
Preferred Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years of PV and PW solar inspection knowledge and experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of general Construction knowledge and experience
- Proficiency with monitoring and communication systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
