The opportunity
Infravision is on the lookout for a dedicated and passionate Field Technician and Operator to become a vital part of our North American team. If you're driven by innovation and eager to make your mark in the energy industry, we want you on our journey.
The successful individual will form an integral part of the North American Operations team based in Austin, TX and operate in the field across the North American jurisdiction, delivering and representing Infravision products and values. Collaborating with our Sales, Engineering and Marketing team, this role will additionally support product development, customer training and customer deal cycles across the North American and Asia Pacific regions.
Infravision’s US headquarters is located in Austin, TX and the successful candidate will be expected to work in the Austin area, however remote applicants may be considered. This is a field based position that will require the candidate to occasionally operate in remote construction sites with travel throughout the US, Canada and potentially Australia.

What you’ll do
Reporting to the Operations Manager - North America, you will be responsible for:
- Conduct field operations with Infravision’s products working within a team delivering for customer transmission and distribution projects
- Conduct field and workshop repairs, maintenance and upgrades of Infravision products
- Support internal and customer operator training, proficiency and currency
- Provide technical subject matter expertise for Infravision’s products
- Support the technical development of Infravision products and services
- Learn new skills and obtain a wide range of experience working with Infravision’s diverse and multidisciplinary engineering and operational teams
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Significant experience as a Technician and/or a technical trade qualification
- Experience working with customers and engineering teams to solve technical problems and develop solutions
- Experience in commercial construction, field operations or military operations
- Experience working within a team or crew environment
Highly Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- A formal qualification in an electrical or mechanical centric technical trade
- Experience in military, commercial or public UAS operations preferably involving electrical utility or complex operations
- Hold current 14 CFR Part 107 remote pilot certificate
- Manned or unmanned flight experience
- Experience mentoring or instructing
Company Requirements and Expectations
- Able and willing to qualify as a Infravision pilot-in-command in the United States, Canada and Australia
- Able and enthusiastic operating in field construction environments in a range of conditions to deliver field services
- A commitment to demonstrating and operating to the highest level of safety and quality.
- Able to communicate clearly in spoken and written English
- Willing and able to deploy and travel throughout North America, Australia and the Asia-Pacific region
- Willingness to work some weekends and public holidays
- Current driver’s license and clean driving record
- Current passport with no restrictions
- A determination to work with, recruit and foster the development of diverse teams
