Field Technician

GeoSonics, Inc. a nationally recognized vibration consulting company is seeking a full-time Field Technician to join our team at our Davie, FL location. 

As a Field Technician with GeoSonics, Inc. you will travel to various worksites to conduct pre/post blast inspections, perform on-site vibration monitoring, manage the installation, testing, repair and maintenance of service equipment, prepare reports and interact with clients and customers.

Our ideal candidate must be able to complete field work in construction and mining operations, is proficient in computer and technical skills, has the ability to clearly diagram structures, possesses strong communication skills and is able to work both independently and with a team. Day and some overnight travel is required as well as reliable transportation.  Experience or coursework in Geology, Earth or Physical Science or related field is preferred but not required.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Conduct detailed pre and post-blast inspections of homes, commercial buildings/other structures
• Perform on-site and remote seismograph vibration monitoring at mining, quarry and construction operations
• Manage on-site installation, repair, maintenance and testing
• Troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
• Report preparation
• Perform general office duties, including technical report writing and proofreading, use of office machines, and computer software, including MS Office
• Provide service and customer support during field visits
• Follow company procedures and protocol
• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
• Build positive relationships with current and potential customers
• Anticipate and act to maintain a safe environment.  Incorporates safety/risk management standards into daily work practices
