Experience Required:
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in the steel mill industry or specialty metals.
- Programming/Configuration Skills:
- Proficient in programming and configuring PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, and GE).
- Experienced with drives (Siemens, ABB, and Allen Bradley).
- Skilled in HMI packages.
- Industrial Electrical Experience: Strongly preferred.
- Travel: Willingness to travel is required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement control systems for steel mills and specialty metals facilities.
- Program and configure PLCs, drives, and HMIs to meet operational requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to control systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance and reliability.
- Conduct fieldwork to install, test, and maintain systems at various client locations.
- Provide training and support to end-users and maintenance staff.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong technical aptitude and hands-on experience with industrial control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams effectively.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to different project sites.
