Field Services Technician (Entry Level)

Position Summary

Quadlogic Controls is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide technical support to clients across New York City.

This is an entry-level position and training will be provided.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Commission new installations of meters and metering systems.
• Coordinate with the data center to verify remote reading capabilities of systems.
• Instruct electricians on proper installation of all products.
• Quickly diagnose installation errors and meter defects.
• Determine the proper course of action when an improperly installed, damaged, or defective meter is identified.
• Provide detailed service reports into the reporting system
• Coordinate with engineers, repair technicians, and production staff to track defects and develop solutions to recurring problems.
• Maintain a professional demeanor with clients and customers including contractors, maintenance staff, property managers, and tenants.

Skills:

• REQUIRED: Valid NY Driver's license & Good Standing with Zipcar
• REQUIRED: OSHA 30 + SST 10
• REQUIRED: Critical thinking and Troubleshooting skills
• REQUIRED: Organized and professional exceptional Customer Service Skills
• Hands-on experience testing and repairing electrical devices or electrical installations.
• Ability to use a voltmeter and basic hand tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

Education/Experience:

• REQUIRED: At least one year of experience in the field.
• PREFERRED: Technical associates degree or Basic field experience in electric work, electronics repair, or similar field.
• PREFERRED: Leadership and Project Management Experience
• PREFERRED: Experience with software diagnostics and serial communication terminals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
