CHA Industries, Livermore, CA is a manufacturer of High Vacuum Deposition Evaporation and Sputtering Equipment. CHA a privately held company, and has been in business over 60 years, with equipment in semiconductor and non-semiconductor manufacturing plants domestically and internationally.

We are currently looking to fill the position of Field Service Technician. This position is responsible for the installation and repair of High Vacuum Equipment.

A qualified candidate MUST have Vacuum Deposition Equipment experience and understanding of vacuum principles.

• Install/upgrade/repair of High Vacuum equipment.
• Perform System Startup and customer training.
• Requires the use of electronic, mechanical, vacuum, computer diagnostics to perform troubleshooting, failure diagnoses and calibration on PVD equipment and support components I.E. QCM, Vacuum gauges, power supplies, MFC controllers, flow switches and I/O cards.
• Communicate and provide technical support by means of email, fax and or phone.
• Perform other duties as assigned or as necessary to meet the needs of internal and external customers.
• Assist in the final test of systems as required.
• Contribute toward maintaining a healthy and safe work environment.
• Requires travel both domestically and internationally.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years Field Service experience.
• Required: Experience in vacuum technology, knowledgeable in thin film and semiconductor process manufacturing equipment. Prefer to have experiences on CHA systems.
• Successfully completed Vacuum technology, electronics, or military tech schooling.
• Basic knowledge of leak detection equipment & techniques.
• Understanding of Engineering drawings and schematics.
• Must possess a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Must be able to accurately diagnose problems and provide solutions independently.
• Must be meticulous and punctual.
• Proficient in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver license and passport
