Position Overview:
The selected candidate willperform maintenance, audits, configuration, programming, installation,commissioning, upgrades, and migration of complex/advanced Honeywell QualityControl Systems (QCS). Their time will be spent validating customer requestsand developing, maintaining, and improving customer relationships.
Your focus:
The primary focus is to providecontinuing service support for Honeywell's QCS platforms used in a pulp and papermill working out of our customer location in Pennington Alabama. This is a residentrole working at one location (not a travel role).
18-month HoneywellTraining & Certification Program:
Commitment of 18 months to obtain and maintain L3 CEAT certification whileperforming normal job duties.
Compensation:
Our current Field Service Technicians earn up to $90K which includes hourlypay + Overtime (1.5 x hourly rate)
Work & TravelSchedule:
Typical work week is Monday - Friday (shift can vary) with ability to workovertime when needed.
Be available for off hour "Emergency On-Call" as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
Commitment of 18 month to Honeywell Training & Certification Program whileperforming normal job duties.
1+ year prior Field Service experience in supporting technical or engineeringservices or Military experience in electronics programs may be consideredequivalent to this typical qualification.
Basic understanding of networking and electrical theory.
1+ years of experience using Basic Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience working with Operator HMI (Panels & Touchscreens).
Strong written and verbal communication skills must be able to clearlyarticulate messages both technical and non-technical.
Ability to be self-motivated and willingness to work in demanding environmentswith little or no supervision and take initiative to be proactive.
Ability to diagnose malfunctioning electrical systems and perform preventivemaintenance using electrical test equipment.
Experience or knowledge reading electrical drawings and utilize fortroubleshooting electrical systems.
As a Field Service Technician you will:
Maintain Honeywell's suite of (DCS) quality control hardware and software andhandle customer questions about the state of the system.
Sustain proficiency in all products and services that the company offers. Thisincludes staying current with installation standard methodologies, equipmentprotocol, and safety guidelines.
Provide on-site pre-start-up, start-up, contracted service work, warranty,troubleshooting, and training of Honeywell products, and ensure equipment isoperational and free of defects.
Accurately document the work that is performed at a customer facility and/orproject staging area. Professionally document work completed on periodicpreventive maintenance as well as intermittent corrective maintenance tasks.
Handle customer service-related issues while fostering the customerrelationship and working to solve technical problems on site.
Deal directly with and communicate effectively with plant operators, plantmanagement, 3rd party vendors and other Honeywell personnel in support ofservice operations.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment applying own technical knowledge andexperience to resolve problems.
Accurately document the work that is performed at a customer facility and/orproject staging area. Professionally document work completed on periodicpreventive maintenance as well as intermittent corrective maintenance tasks.
Review product prints and specifications.
When required, play an active role in various projects such as upgrades, newinstallations, or new functionality for customers.
Work with contractors to review and ensure the unit/package is installed tospecifications.
Coordinate work with other groups to ensure meeting commitments.
1 year of professional experience in an engineering or technical field/and orMilitary experience in electronics programs may be considered equivalent tothis typical qualification.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to walk and stand 8 hours per day.
1 year of experience using Basic Windows OS and Microsoft Officeapplications.
Be able to perform frequent climbing, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling,lifting, and grasping.
