Field Service Technician Iii

Charles F. Day & Associates, LLC (CFDay), seeking individuals for a Field Service Technician (FST) providing on-site support to the US Army, US Army National Guard and/or Reserves for the Cold Weather, All-Terrain Vehicle (CATV) located in Fairbanks, Anchorage, and other locations within Alaska. This new system is the replacement for the Small Unit Support Vehicle (SUSV). Candidate Field Service Technician (FST) must be capable of providing the following services for all CATV models.

Location: Ft. Wainwright, AK

Education: High School Diploma or GED. Military Maintainer MOS Training or Civilian Automotive / Heavy Truck Institute training.

Skills Required:

• Received initial Mechanic training through either the US Military or a Civilian Automotive/Heavy Truck Institute
• Have the necessary experience, skills, and training to perform general maintenance for the CATV Vehicle and Systems, Including, but not limited to: Drive Train, Suspension, Electrical, Hydraulic and HVAC.
• Possess the willingness to increase their basic skill sets through hands-on learning, coaching, and mentoring.
• Be able to provide hands-on Scheduled and Un-Scheduled Maintenance Support to the US Military as needed, whether in garrison or field environments.
• Be able to perform Warranty Claim Repairs, Modifications, Upgrades and Retrofits of the CATV Vehicle, and its sub-systems, as necessary.
• Have a basic understanding with Microsoft Office products and be able to effectively utilize these software tools.
• Able to communicate effectively whether through verbal or written communications.
• Be able to comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as government contract requirements.
• Have the necessary qualities to work as a team member following verbal and written guidance, and in limited circumstances, be able to work alone and self-supervise.
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid US Passport
• Must possess a valid state issued Driver’s License.
• Must be able to pass a pre-screen background investigation check
• Must be able to qualify for, and maintain, a US Government issued Common Access Card.
• Must be able to physically perform Maintenance Tasks in an Extreme Cold Weather Environment for extended months of the year. "

Experience Required:

• Military Maintenance MOS trained, with at least 4 years Military service in Heavy Track, Wheel or Engineer Equipment MOS's with a Military Grade E-4 or higher,
• OR Civilian Training through an Automotive or Heavy Truck certification program and 4 years' experience in same.

Experience Preferred:

• Military Maintenance MOS trained, with at least 6 years Military service in Heavy Track, Wheel or Engineer Equipment MOS's with a Military Grade E-5 or higher,
• OR Civilian Training through an Automotive or Heavy Truck certification program and 6 years' experience in same.
• OSHA Training (10-Hr Safety Course)
