Field Service Technician / Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Position Summary

The successful candidate who gets the job will operate a mobile service vehicle and visit customers to check and fix machinery. They should do this work efficiently and professionally while representing the dealership. Their goal is to provide top-notch service solutions and the best customer service possible.

 

Your Epic Duties:

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on all types of Heavy Equipment remotely. 
• Engine rebuilds, axle reconditions, hydraulic valves and pump wizardry, and transmission repairs are all in a day's work!
• Accurately remove, disassemble, clean, repair, recondition, assemble components or parts.
• Keep meticulous records of equipment hours, serial numbers, complaints, causes, and corrections.
• Be a mentor and guide for other technicians and apprentice technicians.
• Attend company sponsored training to level up your skills, knowledge, and expertise.
• Keep our service trucks and all company assets in top-notch shape.
• Always put safety first by adhering to all established safety protocols - whether you're operating power tools, lifts, welders, or cranes.

• And, of course, tackle any other task assigned with efficiency and professionalism.

Education and Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2 - 4 years of experience servicing / maintaining construction Heavy Equipment preferred.
• Experience with John Deere equipment a plus.
• Vocation or technical degree, or equivalent work experience or training.
• Strong communication skills and self-motivated spirit.
• CDL not required but preferred.
