Field Service Technician

For over 37 years, I2S, Inc. has been providing on-site laboratory equipment repair and calibration services to universities, hospitals and biotech companies throughout the US. I2S is currently seeking a Field Service Technician to be based in Phoenix, AZ. The Service Technician is required to travel to customers location at universities, biotech and pharmaceutical companies in the assigned areas. The assigned service territory will be in the state of Arizona, Utah and other areas as needed.

The Service Technician will be required to travel of 30-40% out of his/her home base to perform on-site laboratory equipment repair and calibration services. Training period of 1-2 weeks at I2S Headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana on servicing and calibrating pipettes, balances, centrifuges, and other laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities:

* Performs equipment calibration and documentation per I2S SOP and/or per customer's identified criteria

* Provide preventive maintenance

* Prompt in updating service records and entering data to ensure the integrity of service documentation

* Visually inspect and/or using the testing equipment as required to determine the service issues.

* Diagnose circuit boards, troubleshoot the problem and identify the root cause of the repairs issues

* Strictly follows SOP's and safety guidelines when performing any task on equipment

* Maintain a good working habit, equipment are calibrated in a clean areas, and test equipment and tools neatly organized and cleaned.

QUALIFICATION

Education:

2-Years Associate Degree or one year from technical school (electronic related)

Experience:

1. 2 years of experience as a Field Service Technician.

2. Experience in laboratory equipment such as Balances, Centrifuges, and others would be a plus.

Skills:

* Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities

* Planning and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

* Knowledge of reading technical documents and manuals and extract information for required repairs of equipment

* Ability to use common sense to carry out instructions

* Good basic math skills and able to read/write proper English

* Basic Computer skills (Windows, MS Office)

Salary and Benefits:

* Annual salary plus commission 65k-75k

* Benefits package includes health, dental, life, personal days and vacation.
