Objective:
The Service Technician is tasked with traveling to customers' sites, remotely accessing equipment, and conducting routine maintenance. Additionally, they are responsible for installing, testing, and instructing customers on product usage.
Responsibilities:
- Addressing phone inquiries and aiding clients.
- Installing, testing, and instructing customers on product usage.
- Utilizing diagnostic tools to identify issues and assess available data.
- Repairing or replacing defective products and maintaining technical proficiency.
- Administering tasks such as time sheets, job reports, and expenses.
- Creating and managing service documentation.
- Reporting to the Fabrication Manager.
Skills:
- Proficiency with hand tools.
- Basic CAD skills for modifying customer drawings.
- Self-motivated with effective time management.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and diagnostic abilities.
- Familiarity with industry equipment.
Qualifications:
- Electrical and hydraulic experience with CAD drawing interpretation.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Knowledge of industry tools like multimeters.
- Ability to travel to customer locations.
- Aptitude for problem-solving based on non-technical customer descriptions.
- Willingness to stay updated on technical advancements.
- Possession of a driver's license and reliable transportation.
