This role is responsible for providing customer service solutions related to installation and validation of new systems, planned and corrective maintenance of installed systems, improving system utilization, and supporting lifecycle management activities in assigned accounts for all products distributed or supported by Advanced Sterilization Products.  

Under remote supervision, this position: 

  • Partners with sales and clinical education field teams to deliver high value business solutions that drive customer loyalty and sustain ASP’s install base.  

  • Performs the installation, operation, planned maintenance, repair, and modification of ASP systems within assigned territory. 

  • Identifies cause(s), troubleshoots, and performs corrective action as required.  

  • Handles compliance and documentation requirements of primary territory, including daily documenting performance and maintenance records on equipment.  

  • Works with leadership, customers and scheduling personnel to schedule all work required for products serviced by the Company's technical service division.  

  • Devises project plans for the installation-planning phase of new equipment. 

  • Manages customer expectations and provides guidance on a regular basis to ensure customer satisfaction. 

  • Runs personal “trunk” inventory and completes required audits to support thereof. 

  • Provides inputs and suggestions for design improvement opportunity related to efficiency, quality and/or reduce cost of operation. 

  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.  

 

Education and experience: 

  • High school or equivalent plus 3 years related experience, including at least 1 year technical troubleshooting experience and 1 year customer service experience. Or 2 years post-secondary technical education plus 1 year customer service experience.

  • Preferred 2 years customer support experience. 

  • Preferred Microsoft A+ certification or equivalent computer hardware certification. 

 

Competencies: 

  • Excellent mechanical troubleshooting, problem-solving and technical learning proficiency. 

  • Demonstrated ability to use and quickly learn office-based computer programs such as Outlook, Excel and SalesForce for administrative activities.  

  • Demonstrated excellence in achieving top level customer satisfaction. 

  • Able to work as a part of a multi-functional work group, demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication as well as collaboration skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to autonomously prioritize schedule and flexibly handle shifting priorities. 

  • Driven to deliver results with persistence, as well as detail and process orientation. 

  • Preferred knowledge of Computer Networking, Electronics & Electrical basics. 

  • Preferred familiarity with test equipment. 

  • Preferred basic understanding of business practices, processes, and associated costs of managing a territory and parts inventory. 

 

Additional requirements: 

  • Willing to spend workday traveling to hospital/surgery center environments. 

  • Able to travel overnight locally, regionally, and nationally. 

  • This position requires on-call responsibilities, including weekend call coverage on a rotating basis.  

  • While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The role often requires to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. It occasionally requires to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop and kneel. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The role requires to be able to lift 80 pounds to a height of four (4) feet; operate company vehicles; sitting/driving for long periods of time; excessive standing, bending, and stooping; frequent air travel as needed up to 50% of the time.  

  • Valid driver's license and a driving record compliant with Company policy. 

  • Relocation over 50 miles away from job posting location must be pre-approved by manager.
