Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early CareerField Sales Support Systems Engineer. In this role, you will collaborate with our team to deploy advanced analytics for predictive health, enabling precise forecasting of maintenance actions and informing supply requirements. By implementing enhanced reliability, diagnostics, and new technologies, you will contribute to minimizing unscheduled maintenance, ensuring the highest level of system reliability for our customers. Furthermore, your knowledge of design principles will be beneficial in optimizing aircraft maintenance planning and execution, leading to improved mission readiness and fleet availability. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, integrate, test, and sustain complex systems and solutions for aerospace and defense applications.
  • Perform system modeling, simulation, and analysis to ensure the performance, reliability, and safety of developed systems.
  • Implement innovative technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement to field performance.

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of:
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and an ability to think critically in a high tempo customer-centered environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Technical writing experience
  • Ability to understand and analyze data and metrics as well as conduct root cause analysis and propose corrective actions.

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Systems, Industrial, Aeronautical, Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and an ability to think critically in a high tempo customer-centered environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Technical writing experience
  • Ability to understand and analyze data and metrics as well as conduct root cause analysis and propose corrective actions.

Desired Skills:


 Experience with data tools or programming languages such as Tableau, SQL, Python, etc.
 Basic knowledge of Systems Engineering concepts
 Experience with stakeholder/customer relationship management

Ability to Work Remotely:

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
