Field Research Assistant

Responsibilities - What Youll Do:
* Assist in data collection for phenotypical testing programs ensuring high-quality data is collected.
* Monitor trial locations to assess and communicate appropriate management practices when needed.
* Lead in site safety culture and ensure adherence to safety standards.
* Maintain or improve efficient daily and seasonal workplace operations.

Job Qualification
What Skills You Need:
* Minimum of High School Diploma/GED.
* Knowledge of agronomy, crop production, plant development, and experimental field plot design is a plus.
* Demonstrated problem solving skills, strategic analysis, and communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail in a deadline driven environment.
* Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and ability to learn proprietary software tools.
* Ability to develop a working relationship with team members by exhibiting excellent communication and personal interaction skills with a diverse group of people.
* Ability to operate agricultural equipment while observing all safety requirements.
* Must be capable of working in varying ergonomic and environmental conditions for extended periods of time.
* Flexibility to work extended days at critical times of the season. Some overnight stays during planting and harvesting required.
* A valid drivers license is required, and a CMV license is preferred for trailer towing.
