Position Title: Field Mechanical QC/QCM Engineer

Location: Fort Moore, Columbus, GA

Join our dynamic construction company, renowned for executing complex and challenging projects in Columbus, GA, in collaboration with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). We are dedicated to excellence in the construction industry, focusing on safety, quality, and integrity.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Mechanical QC/QCM (Quality Control/Quality Control Manager) Engineer to lead our mechanical quality control efforts on USACE-regulated construction projects. This role involves overseeing mechanical aspects of the work, ensuring compliance with USACE standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the mechanical aspects of USACE construction projects, ensuring all work complies with specified standards.

Conduct QC inspections and audits, and prepare detailed reports for USACE review.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to identify and resolve mechanical issues.

Ensure adherence to USACE codes, regulations, and quality control procedures.

Provide leadership and guidance to QC engineers and professionals in mechanical quality control aspects.

Develop, implement, and maintain QC/QCM policies and procedures in line with USACE requirements.

Work closely with other departments to meet project deadlines and objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Professional Engineer (PE) registration strongly preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience for graduates or 10 years for non-graduates in supervising mechanical features of work in the field within a construction company, with a focus on USACE projects.

In-depth knowledge of USACE quality control standards, mechanical systems, and construction methodologies.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
