Field Labor - EPIC Campus

Summary: Zander Solutions is looking to add to their field team on the EPIC campus located in Verona, WI. As Field operations, you are responsible for working on a variety of EPIC projects by prepping and installing waterproofing materials to prevent the ingress of water into building and structures. Our employees are expected to be comfortable working indoors and outdoors as well as have a baseline understanding of construction and various hand tools. No waterproofing experience necessary, we will train you on the job.

Summary- Responsible for working on a variety of projects located on the EPIC campus. Will learn how to install and prevent the ingress of water into commercial buildings and structures while ensuring durability and longevity of our material on final product. Work will take place both indoors and outdoors, depending on the stage and scope of the project.

Essential Job Functions:

Materials and Inspection:

• With site Lead, inspect and prepare jobsite for the day. Evaluate any missing, but necessary material for scheduled work. Assist with retrieving material from Verona warehouse.
• Understanding of what waterproofing product is used and when as job progresses.
• Appropriate management and storage of waterproofing materials at EPIC and at Verona warehouse.

Application of Waterproofing Systems:

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, repairing, and ensuring they are suitable for the application of waterproofing materials.
• Apply waterproofing membranes, coatings, sealants, and other materials to create a protective barrier against water intrusion.
• Ensure that the application of waterproofing materials adheres to industry standards and project specifications per Zander Solutions’ inventory sheets.
• Maintain a clean jobsite during and after application of waterproofing materials.

Equipment and Fleet Maintenance:

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on pumps, sprayers, and other equipment to extend the life of the waterproofing systems.
• Ensure Zander vehicle is stocked and clean at the start and end of each workday. Report any issues to inhouse mechanic.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Daily communication with Zander Solutions’ Site Lead, Operations Manager and Coordinators with job progress updates and/or issues.
• Work closely with other on-site General Contractors to integrate waterproofing measures into the overall building timeline and process.

Safety:

• Prioritize safety during all waterproofing activities, including the use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety regulations.

Job Qualifications & Evaluation

Education:

• High school diploma

Experience:

• 1-2 years of construction experience preferred but not required.
• Drywall, painting, landscaping, and roofing experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge and correct usage with a variety of hand tools.
• Ability to perform labor-intensive tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Valid and Insurable driver’s license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
