Field Claims Adjuster

We are seeking a FieldClaims Adjuster to join our team located in Central Florida. You must live in Orange, Sumter, Lake or Marion Counties in Florida to be considered. This position is fully remote but requires travel within an assigned territory.

Job Summary:

Review and analyze homeowner's claims to determine the extent of the insurance carrier's responsibility. Determine the extent of damaged property and recommend settlement amounts in order to conclude claims with policyholders in accordance with the policy provisions and applicable insurance statutes and laws.

Job Duties: This role will include the following:

• Investigate homeowner's losses and examine property damage to determine the extent to which policyholder is compensated.
• Review of homeowner insurance policy forms and related documents to make a proper coverage determination.
• Prepare property damage estimates.
• Consult with construction contractors, engineers, and other experts for the purpose of determining damages.
• Communicate effectively with policyholders, claimants, witnesses, independent and field adjusters.
• Review documents submitted on behalf of the policyholder and negotiate agreements on the extent of damages and the cost of repairs.
• Prepare complete claim reports and transmit them on a timely basis for payment.
• Maintain proper file documentation, file notes, and investigation documentation on each assigned claim.
• Participate in catastrophe duty as needed. Ability to travel for catastrophe duty away from home.
• Comply with customer service objectives.
• Meet or exceed production objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in related study preferred. Directly related job experience and/or related business degree can be substituted in lieu of this requirement.
• Minimum of one to three years of relevant adjustment experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office preferred
• Proficiency with Xactimate software preferred.
• Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills are required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,929.48 - $80,000.00 per year
