Our Metrology Center supports offsite technical services, utilizing advanced equipment and methodologies, while our Microbiology Laboratory provides nationwide microbial enumeration and organism identification services, utilizing the latest technologies and industry best practices, allowing for rapid report delivery.

Job Description

FIELD CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN II

Calibrates, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots instrumentation and equipment for laboratory and manufacturing plants to ensure conformance to established calibration standards. Requires 3-6 years of related experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.


Job Responsibilities

This position requires the Field Calibration Technician to provide onsite services, such as:

Provide NIST Traceable calibration services of General Laboratory Equipment (Freezers, Incubators, Refrigerators, Stability Chambers, etc.);

Provide NIST Traceable calibration services of General Process Equipment (Autoclaves, Bioreactors, Building Monitoring Systems-Temp/RH, and other infrastructure equipment);

Experience in calibrating: CO2, Conductivity, Dimensional, Flow (air & liquid), Humidity, Level, Load Cells & Scales, pH, Power Supplies (volts/amps), Pressure, Resistance, Speed, Temperature, and Timing Devices;

A good understanding of Good Documentation Practices

Strong Interpersonal and communication skills, ability to move between task types and remain efficient, show initiative, good planning and organizational skills, look for and pitch process improvements.

Follow Quantus, Inc. SOPs, Customer Procedures, and industry best practices;

Build customer relationships by offering help beyond your daily task list, leveraging our company’s knowledge base to support our customers’ calibration and maintenance programs.

  • Must be computer literate, MacOS, proficient in Microsoft office, email, and can learn to work within custom database and software applications, to perform routine job duties.
  • 3 to 6 YEARS of related experience in the LifeScience Services Industry or related field;
  • Must be able to lift 50Lbs, work on equipment bending, kneeling, sitting, and/or standing;
  • Must abide by Safety Sensitive standards, this position requires an employee's full and unimpaired skills and judgment to safely execute his or her job
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Must be able to pass a drug and background check
  • Location: BLUE BELL, PA;
  • $50,000 to $65,000 Full Time Salary with Benefits: Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, 401k Retirement Benefits, Maternity Leave, Paid Time Off, Fleet Vehicle Provided: Honda CRV EX AWD or similar (personal use is allowed)
