Positions in this role will work directly with Manager to develop, support, analyze and implement strategic initiatives. Role requires assisting providers with individualized goals to increase and retain their workforce, as defined in the annual workforce development plan.

Role requires closely monitoring provider strategic plans with leadership and providers, so that modifications and/or training can occur as needed. Position will act as a resource for technical assistance and ensure that staff are trained appropriately.

If you are located in Tennessee, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • On-going evaluation and reevaluation of training efforts to support providers workforce development needs
  • Work with community agencies and organizations to promote workforce opportunities in the geographic region of responsibility
  • Training and on-going education of providers on policies and procedures
  • On-site assessments to ensure that providers are compliant with contractual terms
  • Trouble shooting provider concerns internally with the expectation of timely resolution of issues
  • Traveling to provider offices quarterly to build relationships, up to 75% travel within specific region in Tennessee
  • Other duties as assigned to support departmental goals/objectives

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relative work experience in a managed care environment
  • Intermediate level skills with MS Office Products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Travel as needed, up to 75% within region
  • Reside within the state of Tennessee within the area supported

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and knowledge of Medicaid products in Tennessee
  • Experience working face-to-face with providers in a customer service/liaison role
  • Human Resources/recruitment experience and/or knowledge of Department of Labor workforce rules and initiatives
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Strategic planning
  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to balance multiple high priority projects and meet quick deadlines
