The Opportunity

  • Roche Support Network is dedicated to providing exceptional support to customers.

  • As a Field Applications Specialist, you will travel to demonstrate your expertise in technical repair and installation for Roche product lines.

  • You will serve as the primary liaison and expert for consultative, administrative, and technical installation matters.

  • As the lead technical expert, you will support the local support team in identifying, analyzing, and executing complex hardware instrument implementations. 

  • You will diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures while minimizing installation delays.

  • Maximizing customer satisfaction with Roche installations and promoting effective communication within the team are key responsibilities.

  • You will oversee and assess the quality of installation teams' work and provide feedback for improvement.

This is a field-based role supporting Massachusetts. Our ideal candidate would reside within 25 miles of Boston. Up to 25% overnight travel is expected.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Cell Biology or Biochemistry, or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, and/or relevant experience

  • 3 years of previous experience in a clinical laboratory or IT in a clinical lab environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to learn and stay updated on Roche solutions across various fields, including chemistry, immunology, molecular, life sciences, and IT solutions, while keeping up with industry trends.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, along with project management experience.

  • Strong customer consultative skills, including advanced scientific knowledge, exceptional customer engagement, and the ability to foster strong customer relationships. Additionally, the ability to coach and mentor junior staff and work independently as a field-based individual contributor.

Relocation benefits are not available for this position.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Massachusetts is $75,300 - $139,800.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  This position is eligible to earn incentive compensation that is calculated and paid in accordance with the applicable Incentive Compensation Plan for the role.
