Fiber Optic Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fiber Technician to join our team. As a Fiber Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing Fiber Optic cables and equipment. You will work closely with our network installation team to ensure efficient and reliable Fiber Optic connectivity.

Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, and splice Fiber Optic cables
- Perform Fiber Optic testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve connectivity issues
- Install and configure network equipment, including Cisco routers and switches
- Perform cable management and labeling to ensure organized and efficient cable infrastructure
- Collaborate with other technicians to complete projects within specified timelines
- Provide technical support to customers regarding Fiber Optic services
- Maintain accurate documentation of all installations, repairs, and upgrades
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while working on job sites

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 8 months of experience as a Fiber Technician or in a related field
- Strong knowledge of Fiber Optic technology, including splicing techniques and testing procedures
- Proficiency in working with various Fiber Optic tools and equipment
- Familiarity with computer networking principles and protocols
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical concepts
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients

Requirements:
- Experience as a service technician in the telecommunications industry
- Knowledge of telephone systems and wiring

- Valid Driver License Card with clean record and Social Security Card

- $50 per hour + 100$ per diem for Travel Fiber Optic Technicians
