Who you are:
As a SeniorRisk Control Consultantwith Frost Insurance Agency, you will be responsible producing new business and retaining clients by providing consultation in reducing insurance related losses, or by reducing exposures that could cause losses. More than that, this role is about building relationships and doing so with integrity, caring, and excellence in mind.
What you'll do:
  • Provide consulting and safety training services to help assigned FIA clients reach their Risk Control objectives. Assist assigned clients with identifying key objectives to improve safety, compliance, Risk Control, and business continuity (Risk Analysis)
  • Conduct or arrange for technical training to assigned FIA clients in the field of OSHA, DOT, WC, TDI and other compliance areas as may be necessary
  • Serve as a resource to FIA's producers and management team in the field of safety, Risk Control and regulatory compliance
  • Lead Risk Control team in developing minimum Risk Control service standards for FIA clients by segment: franchise, middle market and select.
  • Lead FIA Risk Control team to establish a standard framework for executing and documenting Risk Control activities for franchise and middle market accounts
  • Identify key carrier Risk Control resources and develop protocol for deploying to FIA clients
  • Always take action using Integrity, caring and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes

What You'll Need
  • Proficient in Microsoft computer applications.
  • Bachelor degree in Occupational Safety, Health, Science, Engineering and 4+ years experience in safety, safety/accident investigation or 8 years related experience in lieu of degree.
  • Advanced skills and knowledge in the following areas: safety, safety/accident investigation, risk management, property and casualty insurance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of major safety and health statues and regulations, management systems, and reporting requirements
  • Current working knowledge of applicable occupational safety and health best practices, guidelines, and industry standards, including CFR 1904, 1910 and 1926 OSHA, as well as DOT, WC and TDI compliance
  • Experience with Risk Control computer system applications
  • Qualification Review Letter from TDI or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Leadership qualities, ability to influences others to take action on recommendations, obtains consistent by-in

Additional Preferred Skills:
  • Professional Certifications Preferred, i.e. Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), OSHA Authorized Trainer, or Certified Loss Control Specialist (CLCS)
  • Understanding of engineering, manufacturing and construction activities preferred
