Job Description
The housekeeper performs routine duties in cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and baths under supervision of housekeeping supervisor. Housekeeper will be responsible for the overall room cleanliness to ensure exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance to the Autograph Collection standards under the franchise of Mainsail Lodging & Development. Room attendants promote a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, and friendly and should also able to address guest requests and problems.

A housekeeper will be responsible for the overall room cleanliness to ensure exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually per the Autograph Collection standards under the Mainsail Lodging & Development franchise agreement with Marriott International. Room attendants promote a positive image of the property to guests, must be pleasant, honest, and friendly, and should also be able to address guest requests and problems.
What you have
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous hospitality experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written.
- Ability to use technology e.g. tablets, iPads
What you’ll do
- Clean and sanitize assigned Hotel Rooms to include dusting, vacuuming, changing bed linens, cleaning windows mirrors, cleaning bathrooms, vents, lobby areas, walls, carpets, light fixtures, and common areas such as balconies within shift time requirements
- Acknowledge guests in all public spaces with a warm and friendly greeting
- Perform quality cleaning to meet the required room inspections
- Replace amenities
- Follow scheduled shifts and follow break and lunch requirements
- Deep clean on rotational schedule
- Assist with VIP arrivals
- Restock and reorganize cart daily
- Report any light outages, broken equipment, or room disparities to manager
- Review daily board and refresh stay over rooms
- Assist guest with any specials requests
- Include “Other necessary duties as assigned by reasonably assigned” as last point
